 To find out where the rise of Tea began in India, we will need to go back to colonial times. The British East India Company began large-scale operations to produce tea that was fermented by the Singhpo people . In 1826, the British East India Company took over the region from Ahom  lords through the Yandaboo Treaty. In 1837, the first English tea  theater  was established at Chabua in Upper Assam, in 1840, the Assam Tea Company began  product of assiduity  fleetly expansion, consuming vast tracts of land for tea colonies. When the century was at its end, Assam took over every producer of tea by their huge production. Originally, Indian grown tea proved extremely popular in Britain both for its lesser strength and as a  nationalistic product of the conglomerate. Tea had been presented as a high- status drink when first coming on the  request but had steadily fallen in price and introduced in fashionability among the working class.
